Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Clean Secure+ ("we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use the Clean Secure+ mobile application ("App") and website ("Website"). We built Clean Secure+ with privacy as a core principle — not an afterthought.

1. Information We Do NOT Collect

Let's start with what we don't do, because it's the most important part:

• We do not upload, transmit, or store your photos or videos on any server.
• We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any personally identifiable information.
• We do not use analytics, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics services.
• We do not serve advertisements.
• We do not share, sell, or rent any data to third parties.
• We do not use your data for machine learning or AI training.

2. How Clean Secure+ Works On-Device

Clean Secure+ processes everything locally on your iPhone:

• Photo Scanning — The App accesses your photo library (with your permission) to analyze images for duplicates and similarities. This comparison uses a visual fingerprinting technique (perceptual hashing) that runs entirely on your device.
• Video Compression — Videos are compressed on your device. The original video is kept in a Recovery area for 30 days.
• App Preferences — Settings like Easy Mode, notification preferences, and cleanup history are stored locally on your device using standard iOS storage (AsyncStorage).

4. Permissions We Request

Clean Secure+ requests only the permissions it needs to function:

• Photo Library Access — Required to scan your photos for duplicates and manage videos. We use Apple's standard MediaLibrary API. We never upload your photos.
• Notifications (Optional) — If you enable monthly check-in reminders, we schedule a local notification on your device. This does not require any server connection.

5. In-App Purchases

Subscriptions and one-time purchases are processed entirely through Apple's App Store and, optionally, RevenueCat (our subscription management provider). RevenueCat may receive:

• An anonymous user identifier (generated by RevenueCat, not linked to your personal identity)
• Purchase and subscription status information

RevenueCat does not receive your photos, personal information, or app usage data. For more information, see RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.

6. Family Reports

Clean Secure+'s Family Report feature generates a text summary of your cleanup activity (e.g., "5 duplicates removed, 200 MB freed"). Reports contain:

• Numerical summaries of cleanup actions
• A suggested next-steps checklist

Reports never contain photos, thumbnails, filenames, or any personally identifiable information. Reports are shared using your device's standard Share Sheet — we do not transmit them through our servers.

7. Data Retention

Since we don't collect your data, there is nothing to retain on our servers. Data stored locally on your device (preferences, cleanup history, Recovery items) persists until:

• You delete the Clean Secure+ app from your device
• Recovery items expire after 30 days
• You clear app data through your device settings

8. Children's Privacy

Clean Secure+ is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. Since Clean Secure+ does not collect personal information from any user, this applies equally to all users.

9. Website

Our website (the page you may be reading this on) is a static informational site. It does not use cookies, analytics trackers, or any form of user tracking. We do not collect any information from website visitors.

10. Third-Party Services

Clean Secure+ uses the following third-party services:

• Apple App Store — For app distribution and payment processing. Governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
• RevenueCat — For subscription management. Uses anonymous identifiers only. Governed by RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.

We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook SDK, Firebase, Amplitude, Mixpanel, or any other analytics or advertising platform.

11. Security

Because your data stays on your device, it benefits from the security protections built into iOS, including device encryption and app sandboxing. We do not have access to your data and therefore cannot be a source of data breaches.

12. Your Rights

Since Clean Secure+ does not collect personal data, traditional data rights (access, deletion, portability) do not apply in the usual sense. However:

• You can delete all local app data by removing Clean Secure+ from your device.
• You can manage notification preferences within the App's Settings.
• You can manage subscription status through your Apple ID settings.

13. Changes to This Policy

If we update this Privacy Policy, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Significant changes will be communicated through the App.
